Students in Mrs. Deborah Brown's 8th grade class took us on a journey through Holy Week. In groups, students created a display for Palm Sunday, Holy Thursday, Good Friday, Holy Saturday, and Easter Sunday; “A Walk Through Holy Week”. Classes took the walk and learned about each day as the 8th graders gave their presentation and lead the group in prayer.
Third grade students attended the Baldwin County Special Olympics opening ceremonies and games. The students witnessed the Olympic torch being carried by local law enforcement and the athletes parading into the stadium. They cheered on the athletes as they competed in wheelchair races, the softball throw, and other events.
Congratulations to Landon Purvis (Grd8) winning 1st Place in the Loxley Optimist Club Oratorical Contest in March. This year’s topic - “Where are My Roots of Optimism?” We are proud of you!
Lots of fun at the Parade! Parents and friends of K5 and 1st grade students made and decorated wagons as floats and tossed beads, stuffed animals, frisbees, and trinkets to the crowd. Happy St. Patrick’s Day from K5 & 1st Grade!

Celebrating Dr. Seuss Week at SPCS, K5 Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd grades enjoyed difference activities each day; a Green Eggs and Ham breakfast, digital artwork, reading books, crazy hair day and dressing up! The highlight of the week was on Friday; students and teachers dressed as their favorite book character and paraded through the gym for all to see. Such a fun week!
Congratulations to Sarah Musselman (Grd3) and Vanessa Jordan (Grd 5) winning overall in their grade level for the Baldwin County Reading Council Essay competition, "My Favorite Book." Both students were presented a plaque and $15 Barnes & Noble gift certificate. Great Job, Sarah and Vanessa!
