An annual holiday tradition is the decorating of the Chancery Christmas trees. On December 6th, Mrs. Dembowski and her fourth grade students from St. Patrick Catholic School had the honor of decorated Archbishop Rodi's Christmas Tree. Students made a variety of decorations using a celtic theme. Sr. Margaret Harte, Principal, placed a celtic cross on top of the tree. Our Pastor, Fr. Jim Morrison, was present to lend a helping hand. The students joined Archbishop Rodi, Monsignor Farmer, Superintendent Gwen Byrd and other members of the Archdiocesan Staff in singing Christmas carols. Refreshments were served, and Archbishop Rodi blessed everyone with a special Christmas blessing.
St. Patrick Catholic School celebrated Mass with Archbishop Thomas Rodi and Superintendent Gwen Byrd at the Children’s Mass last Friday. After Mass, Fr. Jim and Sr. Margaret accompanied the archbishop and superintendent on a tour of the school visiting each classroom and talking with the students and teachers. Archbishop Rodi’s very first visit to St. Patrick Catholic was in 2008 when our current 8th graders were in kindergarten. Students enjoyed Archbishop Rodi’s homily from the book of Jonah, and talking with him and Superintendent Gwen Byrd during their classroom visit.
